Our mission is to honor and integrate the deep roots of European and Indigenous ancestry, weaving a sacred union between the gifts inherited from our ancestors and the First Nations peoples. We are guided by the spiritual legacy of the Huni Kuin, lovingly preserved and passed on by the Txana Inu Keã Kaya family, whose intuitive connection to healing and cross-cultural wisdom creates bridges of transformation and learning. Rooted in the Huni Meka chants that carry the spirit of the forest and in European traditions of healing and spirituality, we seek to reclaim and celebrate the shared essence of these worlds. We acknowledge the sacred medicine of the land, chants, and stories that heal, while also embracing the experiences that connect people to their own gifts and paths.

With each ceremony, gathering, or exchange, we seek to weave a future where living ancestry is a source of balance and renewal. We value the genuine exchange of knowledge, harmony with nature, and the connection between cultures as an act of healing for the individual, the community, and the planet. Our mission is to keep alive the traditions that connect us to the whole, promoting a life of respect, and shared spirituality.

Txana Inu Keã Kaya Huni Kuin, originally from the state of Acre in the Amazon, is an important member of the Huni Kuin people. He lives in the village of Boa Vista, located in the indigenous territory of the Kaxinawa people of the Upper Jordão River. Son of the shaman Meka, a respected healer and founder of his village, Inu is also the grandson of Tuin Romão Sales, master of the sacred Huni Meka chants — the chants of the vine. These chants are a fundamental spiritual heritage for the Huni Kuin, serving as a means of healing and deep connection with nature and ancestors. Under the guidance of his father and grandfather, Inu dedicated himself intensely to learning the spiritual practices, of his people.

In addition to his responsibilities in the community, he travels the world to share the knowledge of his people and learn about other cultures, always seeking to combine ancestral knowledge with modern technology.

He believes that it is possible to break down cultural barriers and promote harmonious intercultural coexistence. With this openness, Inu generously shares Huni knowledge and, at the same time, learns from the world around him, demonstrating respect for Western knowledge and valuing the teachings he receives from each person with whom he interacts.

the support of his family and community, Inu fulfills his role as Txana, the bird that imitates the sounds of all the others, sharing the essence of the Huni Kuin culture and their symbiotic and respectful way of life with nature.

For the Huni Kuin, the forest is a living being, inhabited by souls and spirits, and harmonious coexistence with this environment is based on sustainable agricultural practices and respect for natural cycles. However, like many indigenous peoples, they face major challenges, such as deforestation and mining, which threaten their traditional way of life.

In the Huni Kuin ceremonies, in which Inu actively participates, the connection with the spiritual world is intensified through chants, dances and body painting with natural dyes.

Each painting pattern and each chant, or **, carries a spiritual meaning linked to the spirits of nature. The healing ceremonies, conducted by the shamans, use a combination of sacred plants, which occupy a central place in the spiritual and purification practices of this and other ancient peoples. Inu conducts these rituals with firmness and tenderness, respecting the process of each participant. He believes that each person is responsible for his or her own development and teaches how to work with sacred medicine consciously, without expecting it to do the work for us.

THE HUNI KUIN PEOPLE

The Huni Kuin people, or "real people" as they call themselves, live predominantly in the Brazilian Amazon, but their territories extend to the foothills of the Andes in eastern Peru. The Huni Kuin is the largest indigenous population in the Brazilian state of Acre, currently living in twelve indigenous territories along seven different rivers: Purus, Envira, Murú, Humaitá, Tarauacá, Breu and Jordão. The native language is "hatxa kuin" (real language).

They came into contact with the Western world relatively late. Despite decades of persecution, they managed to preserve knowledge and traditions and pass them on to the next generations. During the exploitation of rubber and latex, hundreds of indigenous people were enslaved. Because of the ban on their language and culture, they continued to secretly perform their sacred rites, consecrate Nixi Pae, and sing their sacred songs to this day.

Spiritual practices have an important place in their lives. Healing rituals with plants are extremely important for their worldview and collective use.

After several decades of struggle with the authorities and illegal loggers, their native Kaxinawá land along the Jordão River was finally recognized in 1991 and since then they have once again been the rightful owners of this part of the Amazon forest. This new era has connected them with people who help them in new ways of organizing and asserting their needs. You too are part of this amazing support network!

Today, the Huni Kuin people travel the world as messengers of the forest, reconnecting humanity and Mother Nature and sharing their spiritual practices, songs, art and forest medicine. Myths in the Huni Kuin tradition tell that in ancient times forest animals and people were so close that they talked and reported to each other, enchanted creatures and people shared the forest and its secrets.
THE ANCIENT WISDOM OF HEALING

The Huni Kuin people preserve a vast knowledge of the local flora through a precisely structured system of plant classification. Many plant species are used as remedies for various ailments, along with knowledge that has been passed down from generation to generation for hundreds of years and is now beginning to be recognized by the rest of the world.

    PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

TRADITIONAL HUNI KUIN MUSIC CONCERT

The circle of sacred songs includes the medicines Rapé and Sananga.

The event offers a unique opportunity to get to know the ancient Amazon tribe Kaxinawa - Huni Kuin. At the concert or In the sacred circle, we will learn how to use Amazonian medicinal plants and learn the meaning of the sacred songs that are sung during the ceremony. A ritual circle with a tribal shaman is a rare opportunity to get to know Amazonian healing, because while working with plants that contain so much love, we are deeply healing at the same time.

Rape
holy snuff (pronounced "Hapey")

Rapé is the sacred medicine of the primeval forest, a mixture of ash and tobacco and other medicinal plants. Rape is a snuff that the Huni Kuin Indians will share with us and is not psycho active. The Indians say that in the sacred medicine Rapé lives the spirit of the primeval forest and banishes thoughts that no longer serve us.

For the Huni Kuin (Kaxinawá) tribe, snuff is a medicine that connects us to Yuxibu energy (the energy of creation). It is an ancient and powerful healing mixture that is their spiritual and cultural tradition. Rapé is in powder form and consists of sacred medicinal herbs, flowers, ash, bark of Amazonian trees and "Mapache" – sacred jungle tobacco.

Rapé frees the mind, body and spirit. It has many healing powers: it clears the energy field, balances the chakras, clears a clouded mind and grounds us. Rapé finds illness, negativity and trauma in the body, which can be released through it, sometimes by vomiting. This powerful healing mixture is blown through an applicator into each nostril.

Sananga
healing root for the spiritual eye

Sananga, in the form of eye drops, is obtained from the potato bush (Tabernaemontana undulata) in the Amazon and is not psychoactive. It stimulates and improves the function of vision (the vision becomes clearer) and strengthens the spiritual bond. At the energy level, Sananga corrects optical abnormalities, cleans the cornea and retina. Many notice an improvement in vision after use. Sananga, like Rapé, clears the energy field and aligns the spirit at the molecular and cellular level.

KAMBO

Kãpun or Kambo is a medicine obtained from the poisonous secretion of the frog (Phyllomedusa bicolor), which originates from Brazil and has been used for centuries by various Amazonian indigenous peoples. This powerful, laxative medicine is applied through mild skin burns and works through the bloodstream. As a result, it benefits overall health and well-being.

It is used for deep cleansing of the body and strengthening of the immune system, eliminates laziness and malaise. A clearing process with strong excretion is a sign that the medicine is working. It relieves problems with many physical and psychological diseases such as allergies, annexation states, addictions, depression, skin diseases, fatigue, lack of willpower and blood pressure problems. Indians believe that Kambo removes negative energy and brings good luck and sharpens the senses.

After application, a prescribed diet should be followed, with abstinence from sex, masturbation, meat, sweets (including most fruits) and salt. According to the elders, those who do not follow the diet lose the long-term effects (immunization, strengthening) provided by the frog medicine.

HAMPAYA- VIOCE INITIATION CEREMONY

Hampaya is known as the voice opening ceremony of the Huni Kuin indigenous group from the Brazilian Amazon Rainforest.

In this ceremony, the leader  invokes the spirit of the Txana bird, a bird that can imitate all sounds of the forest, the best singer. He applies special paste from crushed chili peppers (pimenta do reino) to participants tongues while simultaneously praying in his native language. This allows the opening and strengthening of the participant's voice, to sing and express oneself better or even learn a language. One shouldn’t take the tounge back in to the mouth until all the saliva has come through.

Hampaya is a ritual connected to the txanas, the singers, so that theit voice may be clear, and strong and they can communicate the chants and songs very well.

In this highly valued and mistical workshop Txana Ibá from Novo Futuro invite you to explore the ancient technology of voice opening prayers and chants through the traditional songs of their people.

These sacred prayers, passed down through generations, hold the key to invoking the spirits of the medicines to bring in healing and harmony.

The workshop delves into the three essential phases of  invoking the voice ceremony prayer—calling the force (Pãe txanimá), invoking the visions (Hawã Dau Tibuya), and balancing the force (Kaya Tibu). Each chant serves a distinct purpose, contributing to the healing, cleansing, and harmonizing of individuals and the space.

Txana Iba reveals the intricate meanings behind the sacred words, emphasizing their role in connecting with the spirits and channeling energy for healing purposes.

Representatives of Huni Kuin tribe offer a deep dive into the “Eskawata Kayawei” prayer—a Kaya Tibu invoking healing and transformation. This powerful prayer calls upon the elements of nature, from water and earth to the sun and stars, aligning with the Creator's energy. Txana Iba goes in line by line to teach the song and explain its meaning in depth and then shows how to play it on the guitar.

NIXI PAE MAMA DUŠE

molitve in napevi

MAMI DUŠI NIXI PAE

LJUBJANA

KAXINAWA.SI@GMAIL.COM

V možganih Nixi pae izboljša razpoloženje in izboljša čustveno počutje.

PERO IN NJEGOV SVETI POMEN V SVETOVNIH KULTURAH

PERO IN NJEGOV SVETI POMEN V SVETOVNIH KULTURAH

V starodavni egipčanski kulturi je bilo pero močno povezana z boginjo Ma'at boginjo resnice in reda.
