Dear friends, dear questers of life vision,

There is a beautiful opportunity to join a Vision Quest in Mexico, Tequepexpan Santa María del Oro Nayarit Mexico with elders Sergio Torres and Margarita Jimenez, and our brother Chavita Valdéz Armenta that will hold space for us. Sergio Torres and Margarita Jimenez

Don Sergio Torres and grandmother Margarita Jimenez, traditional medicine man and woman, founders of the ceremonial center Senda Tatexpoco and cultural association ‘Raices del Corazon de la Tierra’ in the state of Nayarit, Mexico. Their mission consists of recovering and diffusing the traditions of songs and rituals of today’s indigenous peoples for future generations. They walk the Yellow Path and the Red Road and are Wirikuta pilgrims, with more than 20 years of experience leading vision quests and temezcal. Carriers of the sacred fire of the Kiva, martial arts masters, and humble open-hearted healers.

Mama Chali

Rosalia Lemus de la Rosa is 81 years old. She is a medicine woman and a healer, a faithful companion of famous passed away Marakame Teocari, was helping him on his sacred journey. She is the creator of traditional Wixarika art.

Chavita Valdéz Armenta

José Salvador Valdez Armenta is a native of Mazatlán Sinaola, Mexico with roots of the Yaqui Yoeme tribe, deer dancer and singer, pilgrim of the Wirikuta desert, promoter and cultural diffuser, walker of the red road.

José Zamora

José Zamora comes from stone island Mazatlán Sinaloa. Humble elder fisherman and dad of 2 daughters, a giant temazcalero and pilgrim man of Wirikuta desert for many years. His incredible presence of masculinity gives the power to others to overcome any illusionary limits.

INFORMATION AND APPLICATIONS

Arriving date is 26th January and leaving date is 31. January.

The meeting point is 26th January in Tequepexpan at 12:00 on the main market where we will pick you up.

The vision quest starts on the 27th January 2021 in the morning with a sweat lodge and after we go up on the mountain to prepare our own personal space for the ceremony. The supporters will burn a sacred fire all four days 24 hours, down the mountain. On the 30th we will close the ceremony with a sweat lodge and afterward, we will drink sacred water and eating delicious sacred food.

VISION QUEST PREPARATION

This ceremony is only for people that really know what a Vision Quest ceremony is and feel a deep calling to participate. You will not eat food and drink water for four days and we don't ingest any sacred plant medicines. Feel deeply for the calling.

Only participate when you have your life in order, this is not a ceremony to get your life in order.

At home, you have to prepare 404 tobacco prayer ties. First, you need to buy yellow, black, white, and red cotton fabric for the tobacco ties to make 100 of each. Tie dimensions are 7cm x7cm. And then 1 of each color 20cm x 20 cm. Put a tobacco prayer in each tie with red color cotton string. Start with red, the east, yellow- south, black-west, white-north. In the end, you will have 404 ties in total. These ties will be tied to the red cotton string. Go find a stick in the forest that has the height of your heart level (you choose). What to bring

Please bring a torch/flashlight, toilet paper, 3 season sleeping bag, and an airman/camping mat, pillow, clothes for heat and cold, clothes for rain, a two by two-meter plastic top (to cover yourself during the vision quest should it rain or also for the sun during the day maybe), sunscreen(a natural one) and also some bathing stuff, swimwear for in the sweat lodge, a couple towels etc.

Donation

The exchange for this special vision quest ceremony is 400 euro excluding flight tickets(flight tickets you have to arrange yourself). Includes stay at location and food and drinks after and before the ceremony.
