After deep night rituals with the Yawanawa tribe in the presence of Hukena, Nãwãma, and Paka, they gave us new energies to feel beautiful with the juice of life. Music, art, ancient prayers for modern times, and the beautiful ambiance of the temple invisibly summoned another friend from the Amazon, Txana Ibâ. Moments of shared gratitude opened new doors for us to tread the path of light together.
PRAYERS TO NEW CREATION
Almost all cultures derive from myths about the beginning of creation, in which the gods honor songs and tell them that they can be called upon at any time, that the song will bring them everything they need, as well as transform or drive away what they do not want. The gift of song is therefore a compassionate act by which people can summon the gods and mighty forces into the human circle.
A song is a special language in which it is possible to evoke what speech cannot. The song, like the drum, gives rise to a changed consciousness, leading to an ecstatic and prayerful state. Certain sounds, such as water dripping from a faucet or the incessant honking of a car, are irritating, even infuriating. Others, like the roar of the ocean or the rustling of trees in the wind, fill you with good feelings. The sound of hollow blows - such as footsteps - awakens negative tension in the snake. But to the gentle song the snake dances.

Ibâ Huni Kuin, good friend from the village of Novo Futuro, Acre, Amazonia and his urban memorialist and guardian of the primeval forest Txai Lobo from Brazil surprised us with a phone call to come to visit Slovenia! We have prepared a program and an invitation to visit night cultural programe and and traditional plant medicine in Slovenia and on the Croatian cape of Istria.
Ibã Huni Kuin is the son of the pajé shaman Kupi, who lives in the Huni Kuin tribe in the Amazon, in the same village as Ninawa Pai da Mata, WHERE THE FAMOUS ESKAWATA FESTIVAL HAPPENS!
Last week we hosted Patrick Belem in Slovenia, who made a documentary about these people, for which even National Geographic is competing. Patrick also has several music videos from Acre with the Huni Kuin tribe.. here is one on fb, and you can browse more yourself!
These young indigenous guys who are learning to be Pajes are one of the main forces in the village, making the nights strong and getting people singing in unison! With their youthful spirit, they evoke in us the joy of life and the expansion of consciousness.
Iba is a young Txana, he has been preparing and conducting nixi pae ceremonies in his village since the age of 17 with his Huni Kuin peers. Last year, some of them traveled around Brazil for the first time to bring their healing power and culture closer to the townspeople. Iba, however, made his own passport and went to Europe with Txai Lobo! His consciousness is sharp and penetrating but at the same time gentle, which can be felt with the singing that will lead us through the night. We are looking forward to this adventurous visit!
